I fancy myself to be a writer. Actually, I fancy myself to be a very good writer. That, however, is an unproven fact anywhere but on the scribbled pages lining my bookshelves in notebooks and blank typing paper or the hundreds of unfinished works I've begun typing over the past twenty years. It's not that I'm old, I've just been writing for a long time.
Haven't we all?
For me, I find that I have the occasional serious piece or autobiographical sketch that pours out of me at moments of introspection or drunkeness. Sometimes these moments coincide, which leads to more comedic material or rambling thought flows with no meaning. I will create the odd script for monologues or skits as needed. Mostly, however, I'm drawn to fiction writing. Romance, thrillers, science fiction - I haven't picked a genre really as my mind wanders and I haven't managed to actually finish any of these.
Hence this site. A place where I can post my many beginnings for comment and continued creation. If this works as planned, I'll actually complete many of these burgeoning masterpieces. If not, you'll be entertained by the eternal cliffhangers. Either way, I'll be happy.
